Who we are

Zabure Group (U) Limited is a software company in Kampala, Uganda. This policy covers this website and our communications with prospective and current clients. Our apps have separate policies in the app directory.

Information you share with us

If you email us about a project or support request, we receive your email address and the information you include, such as your name, company and project requirements. We use this to respond, discuss work and provide our services.

Our hosting and network providers may process technical connection information, such as IP addresses and requested URLs, to deliver and protect the website. These pages do not load third-party analytics or advertising scripts.

Why we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries, perform our agreements, maintain security and meet applicable legal obligations. Where data protection law requires a legal basis, this may be steps toward a contract, performance of a contract, a legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in communicating and operating a secure website. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it.

Sharing, retention & international processing

Our hosting, network and email providers process information needed to operate those services. Information may also need to be disclosed where law requires it. Providers may process information outside Uganda; applicable legal requirements govern those transfers.

We keep correspondence and project records for as long as needed to handle the enquiry, deliver the work and meet applicable recordkeeping or legal obligations. Contact us about deletion of a particular record.

Security

No internet service is completely secure. Please do not send passwords, payment card information or unnecessary sensitive documents in an enquiry.

Your rights

Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may request access, correction or deletion of personal data, object to or restrict processing, request portability, or withdraw consent.

Under the EU GDPR and UK GDPR, these rights depend on the processing and its legal basis. You may complain to your local supervisory authority or the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Where California’s CCPA/CPRA applies, you may ask to know, access, correct or delete personal information, opt out of its sale or sharing, and limit qualifying uses of sensitive personal information. You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. See California’s privacy rights guidance.

Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 provides rights over personal data, including access and correction. You may contact Uganda’s Personal Data Protection Office with a complaint.
